Vocational Evaluation

Vocational evaluation offers the worker, counselors, parents and other individuals an opportunity to learn more about the worker's skills, aptitudes, interests and abilities. This can be an invaluable tool when making decisions about training, educational options and career directions.

The Paragon Vocational Development Center is equipped to offer a full range of evaluations, from half day psychometric assessments to comprehensive vocational evaluations. Each evaluation is individualized to best serve the person's needs.

Evaluations may include:

• Work samples (real or simulated work)
• Vocational interest testing
• Career exploration
• Psychometric assessments of skills and abilities
• Aptitude assessment
• Vocational counseling
• Transferable skills analysis

Work Experiences

Work Experiences offer individuals an opportunity to engage in real (paid) work in an actual work environment. This is extremely useful for individuals with a limited work history or those who wish to gain vocational experience in a specific field or setting.

The Vocational Development Center utilizes its long-standing community associations and placement specialists to create an opportunity in the area of interest for the individual person. The staff provides potential job accommodations as well as the individualized job coaching and training to ensure a safe and positive work experience.
